If you see a “wrong password” error when connecting your Instagram account—or the connection works but then disconnects immediately—this is usually caused by account session or login conflicts. Follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
  1. Clear your browser data
    Clear your cookies and cache (especially for Facebook and Instagram), then try again.
  2. Use a private browsing window
    Open an Incognito / Private window and reconnect your account.
  3. Make sure you’re logged into the correct account
    • Log out of all Facebook and Instagram accounts.
    • Log back in using only the account you want to connect.
  4. Disable browser extensions
    Temporarily disable extensions such as:
    • Ad blockers
    • Privacy/security plugins
    Then try reconnecting.
  5. Try a different browser or device
    If the issue persists, switch to:
    • Another browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge)
    • A different device
  6. Reset your Instagram password
    If you’re still seeing login errors, reset your password and try again.
