How to apply auto SFX

From the recipe page

Turn on Auto SFX in your recipe to apply it once, or save it to a custom recipe to apply it automatically every time.

From the editor

  1. Open a clip in the editor and click AI enhance in the right sidebar, then click Auto sound effects. You can also click Audio in the right sidebar and open the Sound effects tab.
  1. Click Add sound effects. The number of credits it uses is shown on the button. It takes about 30 seconds for most clips.
  1. Your sound effects appear on the timeline and in the Sound effects tab. Click any sound in the list to play your clip from just before it.
If your clip doesn’t need any sound effects, for example a music video, you’ll see No sound effects needed for this clip, and you won’t be charged.

Edit your sound effects

Every sound effect is a block on your timeline. You can:
  • Move a sound by dragging it
  • Change its volume by clicking it
  • Split or delete a sound like any other block

How many credits does Auto SFX use?

7 credits per minute of clip, rounded up to the next minute. You will not be charged if Auto SFX fails or doesn’t add any sounds.

How long does it take? About 30 seconds for most clips. Longer videos take longer. What kinds of sounds does it add? OpusClip adds sounds for transitions, impacts, UI moments, reactions and more, matched to your video’s content and tone. Every sound comes from a curated library, so it sounds clean and consistent. Why didn’t Auto SFX add a sound where I expected one? Auto SFX only adds a sound where it fits the moment, and skips some to keep your clip from feeling cluttered. Can I undo the sound effects? Yes. Delete any sound on the timeline without affecting the rest. To run Auto SFX again, delete all of its sounds, then click Add sound effects. Each run uses credits. Why do the sounds sound different from before? Auto SFX used to generate each sound with AI. It now picks sounds from a curated library, so they’re cleaner and timed more precisely.
