Here are the primary shortcuts you can use with the new Keyboard Precise Editing feature:

Moving Between Frames:

  • Press the Right Arrow (->) to move forward to the next frame of a clip.
    • Each arrow button will move the playhead by 1/30th of a second
  • Press the Left Arrow (<-) to move backward to the previous frame of a clip.
    • Each arrow button will move the playhead by 1/30th of a second

Splitting Clips:

  • Press “D” or “CMD + B” to split a selected clip on the timeline.

Deleting Clips:

  • Press “Backspace” to delete a selected clip.

Changing Playhead Placement:

  • Press “1” or “Home” to send the playhead back to the start of the timeline.
    • For Mac: Press “Fn + Left Arrow” (Home).
  • Press “End” to send the playhead to the end of the timeline.
    • For Mac: Press “Fn + Right Arrow” (End).

Zooming In and Out:

  • Press ”-” to zoom out of the timeline incrementally.
