What are the keyboard shortcuts available?

Here are the primary shortcuts you can use with the new Keyboard Precise Editing feature:

Moving Between Frames:

  • Press the Right Arrow (->) to move forward to the next frame of a clip.
    • Each arrow button will move the playhead by 1/30th of a second
  • Press the Left Arrow (<-) to move backward to the previous frame of a clip.
    • Each arrow button will move the playhead by 1/30th of a second

Splitting Clips:

  • Press “D” or “CMD + B” to split a selected clip on the timeline.

Deleting Clips:

  • Press “Backspace” to delete a selected clip.

Changing Playhead Placement:

  • Press “1” or “Home” to send the playhead back to the start of the timeline.
    • For Mac: Press “Fn + Left Arrow” (Home).
  • Press “End” to send the playhead to the end of the timeline.
    • For Mac: Press “Fn + Right Arrow” (End).

Zooming In and Out:

  • Press ”-” to zoom out of the timeline incrementally.
  • Press ”+” to zoom into the timeline incrementally.
  • Press "" to automatically resize the timeline to fit the screen.
    • Example: If you are zoomed way in, hit this button to view the entire timeline quickly.

Copy and Paste (Coming Soon):

  • Press “Ctrl + C” to copy a section of the timeline.
  • Press “Ctrl + V” to paste a section of the timeline.

Playback Speed (Coming Soon):

  • Press “J” to rewind in 2x speed.
  • Press “K” to play or pause.
  • Press “L” to fast-forward in 2x speed.

Where can I enable or use these keyboard shortcuts?

These shortcuts are active within the editor’s timeline. As soon as you start working on your clips, you can begin using these shortcuts for quicker and more precise editing.

Can I customize these keyboard shortcuts?

At the moment, these are the default shortcuts available. However, more customization options may be added in the future.

Which OpusClip plans are able to use the Keyboard Precise Editing feature?

This feature is currently available to all users, regardless of the plan. There is no restriction based on your subscription plan.
