Which shots does Eye Contact Correction correct?

Eye Contact Correction only corrects shots where your face points toward the camera and your eyes drift slightly, like glancing down at a script. It skips shots where a correction would look unnatural, such as head turns or looking away on purpose. If there’s nothing to correct, you’ll see No segments needed correction.

Can I edit the corrections?

Yes. On the timeline, you can:
  • Remove a correction by selecting an Eye contact segment and deleting it
  • Extend or trim a correction by dragging either edge of the segment
  • Add a correction by clicking Add more manually in the AI enhance panel, then selecting the part of the timeline you want corrected
To remove all corrections, toggle Eye contact correction off.

Which layouts are supported?

Eye Contact Correction works with the Fill and Split layouts.

Can I use Eye Contact from the results page?

FAQ

Why didn’t Eye Contact Correction correct a shot where I’m looking away? Eye Contact Correction only corrects small eye movements while your face points toward the camera. Head turns, looking far off-camera, and quick eye movements are skipped, so the result doesn’t look unnatural. To correct a skipped shot, click Add more manually. Why do I see “No segments needed correction”? Eye Contact Correction didn’t find any shots it could correct naturally. This is common when your face is small in the frame or turned away, or when speakers look at each other on purpose, like in an interview. Does Eye Contact Correction work if there’s more than one person in the frame? Only in the Split layout, where each person has their own half. If two or more people share the same frame, Eye Contact can’t correct it yet. Will Eye Contact Correction change my original video? No. Corrections apply only to the clip you’re editing. Your original upload stays unchanged. Does Eye Contact Correction work in any language? Yes. Eye Contact looks at your face, not your speech, so it works in any language. Are corrections kept when I export? Yes. Every eye contact correction segment on your timeline is included when you download or publish your clip. Can I use Eye Contact in the mobile app? No, Eye Contact Correction is not available in the mobile app so far. Can I use Eye Contact Correction in the the MCP plugin? Yes.
