Team workspace allows seamless collaboration for teams to create videos together. You can share credits, videos, and brand templates within your team.

How to create a team?

You can create a Team Workplace and invite your teammates to join the team. Here is how you can do this:

  1. Click your Profile image and go to Team settings
  1. Name your Team Workspace, add a logo and create the team
  1. Copy the invitation link and send it to your teammates.
  1. Then your teammates can join the team by clicking into the invitation link.
  1. As the team owner, you can also manage the team members on the Team settings page

Need more than 10 seats?

Pro plan users have 2 seats per pack, and up to 10 seats (5 packs). You can change your pack number in the subscription page.

FAQs

  1. Can a user be part of multiple teams?

A user can be part of multiple teams:

  • For example, you can be the owner of team A, and a member of team B
  • You can also be a member of team C, and a member of team D
  • However, a user associated with an email address can only be the owner of one team in the current version. We might support being the owner of multiple teams in the future versions. If you need this feature, submit a request here.
  1. Are there any plans for introducing a chat window for the team workspace so that team members can communicate, leave notes, etc.

This is not supported in the current version. We welcome feature requests and you can submit new request here!

  1. What would happen if a user who is a team owner is currently not part of the same work environment and becomes inactive? How it is decided who will be the new team owner?

  1. What will happen when a user is removed from the team? Do they still have access to the clips that they worked on in the team workspace in their own personal dashboard?

If a member is removed from a team, they no longer have access to the clips in that team workspace.

However, for the team owner, even if the team has been disbanded or they downgrades to individual account, they can still access the clips in their individual account.

  1. I’m a paid user who joined a workspace as a member. Will my credits be used?

The answer is no. When you join other people’s workspace, you will consume the owner’s credits.

The team workspace will only follow its owner’s subscription status, and will not be impacted by member status.

  1. Do I need an existing OpusClip account to receive a team invite?

They don’t need an existing account. We will guide them to create an account

  1. Can I promote a team member to a team owner?

Not supported in the current version. We will support the transfer owner feature in future versions.

  1. If I am invited to a team workspace, do I still have access to my personal account?

Yes. If you have an existing account, and you join another team workspace, we will ask you which account you are logging into.

You can switch accounts anytime by clicking on your profile image in the top right corner.

  1. Whose credits will be consumed in a team workspace?

The team owner’s credits will be consumed in a team workspace.

If you need more credits in a team workspace, the team owner needs to buy more packs, members can’t manage subscriptions & billing in a team workspace.

  1. What would happen to my team if I reduced the number of packs purchased, or canceled my subscription?

If you reduce the number of packs, you will have less seats. If there are more people in your workspace than the number of seats, the most recently joined members will lose access to your workspace.

If you cancel subscription, at the end of your current billing cycle, you will lose access to the team workspace feature. As the owner, you can still access everything, but all your members will lose access to your workspace.

  1. How many members can I invite to my workspace?

The number of people you can invite to your workspace is based on the number of packs you purchase. Each pack provides 2 seats, with up to 10 seats for Pro Plan.

To put this into perspective:

  • If you purchase 1 pack, you will have 2 seats, and can invite 1 person to your team

  • If you purchase 5 packs, you will have 10 seats, and can invite 9 people to your team

  • If you purchase 6+ packs, you will also have 10 seats, and can invite 9 people to your team

  1. How quickly can I see changes made by my team?

Changes made by your team to videos or brand templates are instantly visible after the changes are saved. If you encounter any delays in seeing the updates, ensure that your team has saved the changes and consider refreshing the webpage.

In cases where multiple team members save changes, the most recently saved modification will overwrite any previous changes.

  1. What are the permissions for team owners and team members?

Team owner:

  • Create and manage teams, invite or remove members, and delete teams.

  • Full access to content, members, and subscription details.

  • Future capability to assign diverse roles and permissions (coming soon)

Team member:

  • Submit videos using shared credits.

  • Access shared projects, videos, brand templates, and social account posting.

  • Cannot manage the team or subscription plan.
