There are many reasons why you might be getting 0 or low views on your content, and it’s not always about the clip quality itself. Platform algorithms are complex and influenced by dozens of factors — from posting behavior to metadata and timing. If your views are primarily coming from profile visits, search results, or shared links, it likely means your video isn’t being picked up by the main Discovery Feed — like YouTube Shorts Feed, TikTok’s For You Page (FYP), or Instagram Reels Feed. This is where the majority of organic reach happens. To confirm, check your platform’s analytics: If your video isn’t appearing in these feeds, it’s likely being suppressed or deprioritized — even if it’s still visible on your profile.

If you believe your content is being suppressed or deprioritized, there are several steps you can take to increase your chances of reaching the feed. While platforms don’t officially confirm most of the reasons below, these insights are based on real-world experience shared by creators and consistent patterns we’ve observed in analytics. Think of them as best practices, not official platform rules.

1. Your account looks suspicious or unverified

Unverified accounts are treated as low-trust by platforms and may have limited reach or features. Platforms use verification (email, phone, 2FA) as a trust signal. Without it, your content may be deprioritized or flagged. Fix:
  • Add a phone number
  • Confirm your email
  • Enable two-factor authentication

2. Posting immediately on a new Account

Brand-new accounts that post right away often trigger anti-spam filters. Fix: Warm up your account by watching videos, commenting, and subscribing for 7-14 days before uploading.

3. Reposting or using watermarked content

Using content from other platforms—especially with visible watermarks or without meaningful edits—can lead to deprioritization or even takedown. Fix: Use original content, or re-edit videos with voiceovers, zooms, effects, or blur watermarks.

4. Overposting in a short time

Uploading too many clips too fast (especially on a new channel) can appear spammy. Fix: Post 1 clip per day. If a video underperforms, wait 24/48h+ before posting again.

Even with great content, bot-like or untrustworthy behavior can quietly limit your visibility. Here’s what to avoid:
  • Scheduling posts to go live at the exact same time every day — robotic patterns can be flagged by platforms, slightly varying your posting times.
  • Buying followers, likes, or engagement — this damages trust and reduces real reach
  • Using unauthorized third-party tools to automate posts or engagement
  • Working with “growth services” that violate terms of service, even if they promise organic reach
  • Getting mass reported, which can happen from spammy comments, polarizing content, or aggressive DMs
