What the plugin can do

Tools available to your coding agent

The live tool list in Codex or Claude Code is the source of truth. Available models and options can change.

How to use Product Launch Video Plugin

  1. Open Product Launch Video Plugin.
  2. Select View on GitHub to explore the open-source repository, templates, examples, and installation guides.
  3. On the product page, expand Create video, audio and images with your coding agent.
  4. Choose Codex or Claude Code, copy the setup prompt, and paste it into a new conversation. Follow the installation and Opus sign-in steps shown by your agent.
  5. Choose one of the 34 templates. Filter the gallery by Brand Intros, Titles & Announcements, Showcase & Portfolio, Product & UI Demos, or Data & Results.
  6. Give your coding agent the template link and your brief: product name, website, audience, main message, logo, colors, real product screens, call to action, duration, and output formats.
  7. The agent downloads and verifies the original source, renders the unchanged baseline, then replaces the sample brand, copy, interface, and assets.
  8. If the video needs newly generated media, review the exact image, audio, or video request and its credit use before approving it.
  9. Review the complete video with sound. Request any copy, timing, motion, or format changes, then keep both the final MP4 and the editable source project.
The template gallery filtered by purpose, showing launch-video styles to customize. Browse 34 templates by purpose, then choose a style to customize. Example prompts

  • Make a 20-second launch video for [Brand Name] [template link]. Use our real product screens and render it in 16:9, 1:1, and 9:16.
  • Turn [template link] into a four-second logo reveal. Use the logo in ./brand/logo.svg and match our brand colors.
  • Write and generate a 30-second music bed for our product demo.

Credits and access

Installing the plugin, using the open-source templates, previewing locally, and rendering locally are free and do not require an Opus account. Generated voiceover, music, sound effects, images, and AI video require an authorized Opus account, product access, and credits. Your coding agent shows the exact request before it spends credits. Installing the plugin does not automatically grant access to every model or managed service.

Troubleshooting

The plugin is installed, but the agent does not recognize it

Start a new Codex or Claude Code conversation so the plugin skills can load. If you just updated the plugin, reload the client before trying again.

The agent cannot connect to the media tools

Follow the current sign-in steps for your coding agent, then ask it to run opus_video_tools_whoami. A successful website login or connection badge alone does not confirm that the tools are ready.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use the repository without the plugin?

Yes. You can clone the GitHub repository and run a template directly as a Remotion project. The plugin is the guided path: it helps your coding agent choose the workflow, download and verify source, edit the template, create media, and review the result.

Can I render for different social platforms?

Yes. Ask your coding agent for 16:9, 1:1, or 9:16 versions for YouTube, LinkedIn, feeds, Reels, Shorts, or TikTok. Review each version because text and product UI may need layout adjustments.

Where are my videos and source files saved?

Local template projects and rendered MP4 files are saved in the project folder used by Codex or Claude Code. Managed media is also recorded under its Opus project so the agent can track and reuse completed assets.
