# Can I Link a Short to the Original Long Video?

Currently, YouTube does allow creators to **manually link a Short to a longer video using the YouTube Studio** interface. When you set a related video, viewers will see a clickable link below your Short, making it easy for them to watch the full version.

However, **YouTube does not yet allow this to be done through their public API**. This means platforms like OpusClip cannot automatically set the original video link for you at the time of publishing.

If you want to link a Short to its full-length video:

* You will need to manually add a related video inside **YouTube Studio** after the Short is uploaded.
* Alternatively, you can include a direct link to the full video in the **Short's description** or as a **pinned comment** to guide your viewers.

YouTube Official Tutorial can be found [here](https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/14075157?hl=en#:~:text=Add%20a%20related%20video).

We're closely monitoring updates from YouTube and will integrate this feature automatically if API support becomes available!
